I love living in Evanston, but when it comes to finding some quality make-up and products, it can be slim pickings. Luckily I grew up wearing a lot of Cover-girl and similar products, so I can usually find a few good things that I really like from one of our two stores: Smith's and Wal-mart. No malls or beauty supply stores here. You do what you can, right?! Here's what I found.......
This is Aveeno Positively Radient Tinted Moisturizer for Medium Skin Tone. It's got SPF 30 and is made to even tone and texture with natural-looking coverage. I really like this for it's easiness to use and feels like I've got a little sun. I don't like cakey foundation, so this could be my base layer.
Ok, I already said I like Cover-girl and nine out of ten times will look in it's section for what I'm looking for that day. Of course there is the blush (I say don't go thru the winter without some) in Natural Shimmer. It's not super noticeable, but has a hint of a glow on the cheeks. AND the gotta try a color Outlast Lipstain. I actually can't remember exactly the name of this shade, but the # is 445. I REALLY like this stuff. Goes on and stays on baby!!
This color is so much fun and fits in perfectly for the fall season. It is Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Pat On the Black. It's not black, but a really pretty deep purple. The only thing about this polish that was disappointing was it came right off my daughters fingers in the tub. Not quite sure why that happened, but still love the color. If anyone has had the same thing happen or knows what I should have done differently let me know. I am not a skilled nail tech, and my least amount of expertise is in that area.
Did I mention I'm not much of a nail tech???? I had to post a picture of my first shot at flowers. A lady at the store asked while I was purchasing this if this pen really worked. YES, yes it does, although I need a little practice with the thing. This is Sally Hansen Nail Art Pen in White. Very Cute.
